Q: When can the parasol pole be lacquered instead of stainless steel?
A: The parasol pole can be lacquered when used with a lacquered Pantagruel table, creating an elegant, unified look where the pole matches the table legs. This option is only available with the Inumbra Large. If a perfectly matching colour finish is important, the Inumbra Large is the recommended choice.

Q: Can I choose a custom color for the pole?
A: Yes, the pole can be produced in any RAL color to match the legs of pantagruel.  A startup fee of $400 per RAL color, per collection, and per order will apply.

Q: What makes the Inumbra special when combined with Gargantua and Pantagruel tables?
A: The Inumbra is mounted directly onto the table, eliminating the need for a separate parasol base on the ground. This creates a clean, minimalist design with unobstructed legroom and a comfortable seating experience. The umbrella can be easily opened and closed using a handle and spindle system, ensuring both comfort and ease of use.

Q: Is the fabric 100% waterproof?
A: With light rain you stay easily seated under the parasol. The fabric is
slightly slanted in opened position. With heavy rain, the canvas lets
through only a little bit of water. This is typical for the fabric and necessary,
because the fabric should be able to ventilate.

Q: Can you remove the fabric for washing?
A: We do not advise this but it is possible. In the first place, you should close the parasol when you do not use it and protect it with its cover.

Q: How resistant is the parasol?
A: Tests in a windtunnel have shown that the shade withstands wind speeds up to 46 mph. Still, we strongly advise to take of the fabric sooner 
from 31 mph is the rule of thumb).

Q: Do you need to use a parasol cover?
A: A cover has been designed with a rod for easy application with no need to climb on the tabletop. The cover should be applied in the closed position when not in use and especially when heavy winds are expected. 

Inumbra is unique because of its pure aesthetics. The mechanical parts of this umbrella are positioned at the top, resulting in a flat canopy that catches less wind than typical convex shapes. 
When paired with Gargantua or Pantagruel picnic, the umbrella pole is fastened to the tabletop. This looks clean and is also practical, as no legroom is lost under the table. The combination makes it the sturdiest terrace set you have ever seen
