Q: Can I choose a custom color for the painted parts?
A: Yes, painted parts can be produced in any RAL color of your choice. A startup fee of $400 per RAL color, per collection, and per order will apply.

Q: How wind resistant is the shade?
A: Tests in a windtunnel have shown that the shade withstands wind speeds up to 54 mph. Still, we strongly advise to take of the fabric sooner (from 31 mph is the rule of thumb).

Q: What type of base do I need for the Acacia parasol?

A: A base is always required for the Acacia parasol. The Virus table alone is not heavy enough to support the parasol safely without one.
Depending on your situation, you can choose from several mounting options:

  • Floor fastening – for a permanent installation.
  • Lightweight base – for sheltered locations and easy handling.
  • Standard base – for general outdoor use.
  • Heavy-duty base – for maximum stability in more exposed locations.
The best option depends on the location and expected weather conditions. All available base options can be found in the Accessories section.
Q: Is the fabric 100% waterproof?
A: Yes, it is a water-repellent polyurethane stretch canopy. The water flows off the parasol thanks to the slightly tilted position.

Q: Can you remove the fabric for washing?
A: Yes, simply remove the fabric by pulling the loop & wash at 60°. After
washing, place the fabric on a frame to dry.

Q: Do you need to use a parasol cover?
A: No, this is what Acacia is all about. When not used, you simply take of the fabric and put it in the storage bag. What’s left is a sculpture!

Q: How can damaged powder coating be repaired?

A: If the powder coating is damaged by impact from sharp objects, scratches or dents can be touched up using our paint pens. This helps to visually camouflage the damage, but it does not fully restore or remove the scratch.

Q: Can I adjust the height of the Acacia parasol?
A: Yes. The height of the Acacia parasol can be easily adjusted by sliding the central pole up or down and securing it with the height adjustment knob. This allows you to lower the parasol for easier access, for example for taking off the cloth.  You can also adjust the angle of the parasol to follow the sun.
